Several weeks have passed since Hurricane Sandy but there is still so much to do. There are still so many ways we can help. I am proud to say I work for a team that has taken this negative as an opportunity to find positives.
Our office stood high on Wall Street and was located in Zone A. Aside from the majority of us losing power, network service and the ability to reach the rest of the world – we all had to consider the affect of Sandy on our organization and day-to-day business.
It was extremely comforting that our chief officers started the chain of emails that ensured everyone was safe and unharmed.
Like many other companies we found ourselves re-grouping at a co-working space. From Manhattan we found ourselves in Brooklyn, adapting to the then lack of commuter services.
At the end of the day, camaraderie took precedence at Escalate. Going beyond helping one another to helping others.
Meet the Snap Rescue Squad
From Staten Island to Red Hook, members of our team took time to give back and help as much as they can.
In rebuilding our city and rebuilding our team, we are rising above this disaster and leaning on one another.
